The muscovy "duck" is a large waterfowl native to the southern United States and South America. Although the muscovy is a tropical bird, it adapts well to cooler climates. They are also much quieter than other types of poultry. They lay eggs essentially identical to duck eggs, with all the nutritional benefits, year round, and their meat tastes remarkably like beef.
